Yea, I've probably gotten around 30+ black dyes from farming Raptors ;D

Even got 2 black dyes in 1 run! :O It was so hilarious because I was showing my friend the run, then I get 2 black dyes! XD

Got my most recent one on the Holdings of Chokin map in NF, so from an Enchanted Bramble, Whistling Thornbush, Mirage Iboga or Storm Jacaranda. Remember getting one on Melandru's Hope map in Factions, so from a Dragon Moss, Kirin or the bug thingie.

My mes got a black in pre-Sear in Proph off a whiptail devourer.

Those are 3 that I remember specifically, I've gotten a total of 18 iirc, over the past 3 years.

Both my blacks came from Presearing in the Catacombs. I have some weird luck with dye though; I have 5 or more of all the basic colors, 2 whites, and 2 blacks. I'm the only person in my guild to get dye drops, ever, except for one friend- and he got the dye drop while doing quests in Factions with me.

yet in my whole time i got it dropped only 7 times, each was a different monster.

On my first SF sin chaos planes clear I got 2 black dyes in addition to 7 ectos and a gold stormbow. That was a pretty good run..

Well, First when wanting a black dye - I am in Pre-Searing - I kill Skales outside of the fort. Then I head to the Northlands.

So to answer your question.

Black Dye from
Spider near Breaton's (Hunter's Ale)
Skales near Ascalon city
Oaks in the Northlands
Grawl in the Northlands.

In the last week i have gotten 5 black dye. As I said i kill lots of stuff first and then head to the northlands. Seems to be good for me

Side note: I have Never gotten a black dye in post EVER.

Last two I remember was a kwerdwulf thing in EotN and a crimson skull guy in HM haiju lagoon.

It's a completely random drop, what's the point of discussing it...?

I have 19 Black dyes from charr,grawl and Gargoyles (the catacombs) in pre-searing.That's Where my Dye farmer Lives.She has been farming there for the last 2 1/2 years.

Just remember all Dye drops are random.....

I cant remember all places where these dropped but i'm getting Black Dyes quite often (last 3 weeks i've had 23 black dyes, most from UW

)
